'Nothing Is' is the new single from (so far) relative unknowns W. H. Lung from Manchester. Having formed less than a year ago, the electronic 3-piece follow their excellent debut single 'Inspiration!' with another sprawling and exploratory journey. Sitting proud at 8 minutes and 12 seconds long, 'Nothing Is' begins with softly pulsating synthesizers reminiscent of Kraftwerk's Trans-Europe Express, before kicking into life with a classic motorik drum beat around the 3 minute mark. The track continues to build in intensity constantly driving forward as fuzzy analogue synths make way for jangling electric guitars, which develop into a fuzzy wall of sound before bringing you back down to earth at the end. Amazingly, W. H. Lung have not even played their first show yet, and with festival appearances booked across the summer, we've got a feeling they've got a few more tricks up their sleeves. Their double A-side Inspiration!/Nothing Is will be released on the 12th of May on Melodic. - HLMX
